Swingin' on a Star
Step into the Divaville Lounge on Sunday, May 3 as we celebrate the birthday of Bing Crosby! Singer, actor, radio and television host, with three stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Der Bingle was an icon of the twentieth century and the model for all male vocalists who followed him. We'll hear from Bing's earliest recordings with the Paul Whiteman orchestra, his rise to stardom as the ultimate crooner, his comic turn in the Road To movies with Bob Hope and Dorothy Lamour, his popular radio program, his work in Hollywood, and his immense contribution to the war effort. Spend your afternoon with Bing and act-cent-chu-ate the positive!
