Let's Go On With The Show

Step into the Divaville Lounge on May 11 from 2-4 pm, as we celebrate the 120th birthday of Irving Berlin. One of the first major stars of Tin Pan Alley, called "The Dean of American Songwriters," Berlin had an immeasurable impact on American popular music.

Irving Berlin was nearly unable to read sheet music yet published over 3,000 songs, and he was an immigrant from Eastern Europe who wrote "God Bless America," often called our alternate national anthem. We'll learn more about Irving Berlin's inspiring life and career, and hear a sampling of his vast body of work sung by Divaville Lounge favorites. It will be nothing but blue skies from now on!

Divaville Lounge After Hours

Step into the lounge at a special time as Divaville Lounge hosts the mystery show on May 4 from 10-11pm: an hour of songs that are too naughty, raunchy, saucy or just plain sexy for our regular afternoon program. We'll hear from singers like Bessie Smith, Ethel Waters and Louis Jordan. Tune in to Divaville Lounge ... after hours.

Note: Some listeners may find the content of this program to be indecent.
